Request deletion of your data

You can ask Katherine Downes, trading as The Business Tutor, to delete personal information held about you.

How to request deletion

Email kdownes360@gmail.com with the subject Data deletion request. A particular subject line is helpful but not required.

Tell us your name, the email address or telephone number used to contact us, and which information you would like deleted. If you are acting for a student, explain your relationship to them. Do not send passwords, payment card numbers or copies of identity documents unless we specifically request proportionate verification through an appropriate method.

What happens next?

We will identify the relevant records and, if needed, ask for reasonable information to verify your identity or authority. We normally respond within one month. If the law allows additional time, we will explain the reason and expected response date.

We will delete information where the right to deletion applies and arrange deletion with relevant service providers where required. If we must keep particular records, for example to meet tax obligations or deal with legal claims, we will explain what we are retaining and why. Retained records will be limited to those purposes.

Facebook and Instagram

Our Meta integration manages The Business Tutor’s own advertising. Students do not need to connect a Facebook or Instagram account to enquire about a course.

For information held by The Business Tutor following an enquiry, message or interaction, contact Katherine as above and identify the relevant account or interaction. You do not need to provide a Meta access token. Removing an app connection within Meta does not itself delete information already held by us. Requests concerning information held by Meta independently should also be made through Meta’s own privacy tools.
